A Residence Coordinator was pressured to resign after issuing complaints about her abuser.

Students are demanding:
1. Better background checks into employees (including internal checks & not allowing previously problematic/banned students to return as authoritative employees).
2. Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check for all Residence Coordinators.
3. Non-renewal of the abuser's contract and immediate suspension of privileges.
4. Survivor-centered policies that consider all complaints as equal, regardless of history or authority levels.
5. Better consent training to those in positions of power (Sexual Harassment Office, ResLife) to prevent victim-blaming.

These changes will help to ensure the safety of students studying at MUN and those living in residence. Please sign this petition, and pass it on, to encourage MUN to implement these much-needed changes to make MUN a safer place for everyone.
