This is the story of a man who was recently robbed in Lidl's car park:

"Went shopping in Lidl the other day, backed out of parking space and noticed a noise from the driver's side front wheel. Checked and found l had a puncture. I got the shopping out of the boot and changed the wheel having put my man bag in the driver's side footwell .. "BIG MISTAKE" , while I was changing the wheel someone crept up on the passenger side and stole the bag ... Now l have lost drivers licence, sip card, visa card, 100 euros cash, mobile phone, glasses, residencia card! Spent 2 hours 30 in Garcia civil, then to the health center to replace sip card. To bank to cancel visa card, got to get a new phone and splashed out on a new tyre ... Tyre was slashed to make me get out and change wheel. Police said NEVER put any bag in passenger footwell or where it can be seen. Only take visa card if you are going to use it, and minimum cash in a wallet. Lived here 14 years... Never a problem but it's so easy to be distracted. The Guardia also said to me,,, "LIDL" at San Fulgencio is a well-known hotspot for these thieves, I did speak with the manager of Lidl and asked why they have no CCTV outside, his reply, lidl management don't want to spend the money on it.
I have Learnt from my mistake."

We want Lidl to put in some security measures ie. CCTV and barriers which would  ensure that only Lidl's customers are able to leave their car park.
