Election signs are produced to become garbage - they are an eyesore and litter the landscape. Lawn signs, the kind that candidates plaster our roadways with, serve no real purpose. A Wichita State University political scientist, Melvin Kahn, found that political yard signs don’t actually influence voting a certain way.

Election signs are also unfair -  local municipalities can control advertising signs from businesses, but election sign rules trump local bylaws.

Stop the garbage! Stop the ugliness.
