Larry Kestelman and Michael Slepoy: release the Tigers intellectual property!
Melbourne United hold the name, history and colours of the Melbourne Tigers.
Melbourne United originated as a spin off of the Melbourne Tigers that currently play in the SEABL competition as well as MUVJBL and Big V competitions.
In May 2014, Larry Kestelman and Michael Slepoy decided to rename the team Melbourne United, set the club's birthday to 2014 (instead of 1984) but retain all the Tigers history as well as adding histories of all former Victorian NBL clubs.
Melbourne Tigers fans who did not join Melbourne United in May 2014 wish that Melbourne United would hand over the Tigers IP to the current Tigers so that Tigers can have their four NBL championships, six retired jerseys and its NBL history back.
Having the IP would allow the Tigers to one day rejoin the NBL as a seperate entity to Melbourne United and also bring an end to Melbourne United's identity crisis and end the civil war between fans.
