This horrendous and shameful act of rape and murder of a minor, an 8 year old girl by the name Asifa, needs to be brought to light and the government also needs to take a firm stand against the accused. This isn't just the question of rape, or murder, it's the question of the kind of society we live in, the kind where we have to think before we raise our children in this society. The mindset of the people growing up needs to change and it won't unless a firm decision is taken against the monsters who committed this crime. Its my ardent request that you'll please sign this petition and I hope that this reaches the highest of authorities and makes them to look beyond the caste, the religion and the communalism in J&K in the light of this case and they provide all the help and assistance in granting justice to Asifa and her parents.
