The signatories of this petition share the concern of the AAG in relation to "the recent executive order that restricts the ability of AAG members and the broader geography community from certain countries from being able to enter or return to the United States". While we value the commitment of the AAG to support its members who are impacted by this discriminatory act, we ask the AAG executive committee to consider the possibility to move the next AAG annual meeting to a neighbouring country (Canada or Mexico), while also making a firm commitment to return to New Orleans as soon as the present circumstances mutate.
