Stop random fireworks! Protect our Pets & wild life
The Issue
Fire works being set of every night of the year by private people in gardens, public places. Guy Fawkes celebrated for two weeks or more. ‘Fireworks are more visible than the stars in the sky nowdays.
They get louder and louder each year.
Our pets and wild life are being terrified. It is a public nuisance.
Pets are running away through fear. Pet owners are unable to plan to be at home with their pets on these occasions as fireworks are being set off at all hours and days.
The cost to the NHS in firework related injuries is vast.
Now I am not suggesting that no one can have a firework display, but I am suggesting we allow organised displays on set days only.
Another solution would be, that if individuals would like a display for a special occasion they should have to apply to the council for a permit.
In order to be granted a permit the individual will have to attend a fire safety class, give details to the council, notify all neighbours and households within the area with a decent amount of notice. Then & only then can an individual purchase fireworks on production of the permit, if granted.
Please support this petition, it’s not fair on our pets, horses in fields, sheep, birds etc.
Sainsbury’s have ceased the sale of fireworks to individuals, lets get this nationwide and upheld by all.
