With the affordable care act there will be a shortfall of hundreds of thousands of providers available to care for patients. LMFTs and LPCCs provide psychotherapeutic services to millions if Americans and are accepted and in many cases preferred providers for all other insurance carriers in the United States. By continuing to deny LMFTs and LPCCs access to bill for services under the nations largest healthcare system has not made sense and makes even less sense when millions of Americans will be able to access care with insufficient numbers of qualified providers
