The medical aid would rather I died than fund a treatment that can save my life. 

This is in spite of the fact that there are still ample benefits on my medical aid, that there is an alternative treatment, with evidence that it works in international and local clinical trials, that I am being treated by a world leader in this field and that after the first treatment it's actually working amazingly well for me. My cancer markers have plummeted. Clinical evidence is that Chemo, the other option, will have have almost no value (extend my life a few months only) and massive side effects from the poisoning.

Basically the choice is that I have around 2 yrs life expectancy if I follow the treatment the Medical Aid wishes (it's stopped being responsive to treatment) or I follow an extremely promising new treatment which is very likely to put me into remission - but they have refused to fund on the grounds that it's experimental and expensive and so doesn't comply with the ICON protocol. (I recently received news that the FDA have sanctioned trials so it's not actually experimental)

This doesn't only affect me, making the medical aid support this treatment will be the precedent that can save hundreds if not thousands of people annually and eventually universal access to even those who don't have medical aid.

Please help me put pressure on FedHealth to reverse this obviously irrational decision, and open the doors of this treatment to others.

I have inoperable metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (stage 4) one of the biggest killers of men by cancer in the world.
