Remove Convicted Pedophile Peter John Dalglish from the Order of Canada ASAP

In December 2016, Peter John Dalglish was named a Member of the Order of Canada.

On April 8, 2018, Dalglish was arrested by Nepal Police from Kavre District on allegations of child rape.[11][12] After weeks of investigation, Nepal's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) confirmed that Dalglish had been charged with raping two boys aged 12 and 14. Dalglish has denied the charges.[13] On June 10, 2019, he was found guilty.[14] On July 8, 2019 he was sentenced to prison, though news reports vary on the length of his term.

Seven people have already been removed from the Order of Canada involuntarily for arguably far less serious errors in judgement: Alan Eagleson, David Ahenakew, T. Sher Singh, Steve Fonyo, Garth Drabinsky, Conrad Black and Ranjit Chandra.

It has now been over a year since Dalglish's conviction, and yet he is still appears as a Member of the Order of Canada in good standing.

This outrageous oversight is an offense to all the other members of the order and a stain on Canada as a whole.

I petition the Advisory Council of the Order of Canada to remove Peter John Dalglish's membership to the Order of Canada immediately.

Fellow Canadians, if you agree with me then please sign this petition and share this petition with as many of your friends as possible to right this wrong.
