Hi All,

I would like to raise this petition on behalf of the environment declaring Monday as meatless.

I understand that removing meat from lunch menu is impossible and not fair for everyone who loves to eat meat like myself, but we should consider declaring Monday as meatless so that my friends and I can enjoy lunch from cafeteria together. We want to remove meat from all the lines. However, you can still bring anything from home.

Meat production causes 18% of greenhouse emissions, that is even more than all of the greenhouse gas emission caused by all the cars in the world. In our school we have a vegetarian option every day. But I believe that if we cut out meat one meal a week we can make a difference. 

Reducing meat consumption for one day will also help our climate, save animals and our planet. By not consuming meat one meal a week for a year you can save the emissions produced by a car that drove 350 miles. The largest school district in the United States of America has gone meatless so why shouldn’t we.

If you are agree then please go ahead and sign this petition, once we have more than 100 signatures in favour we will request response from our school principal Dr. Axelson.
