

Yesterday evening, Todd DeNeui (CEO, Lordson Capital) and Luke Dickey (VP, Stimmel PA) plus one other from Stimmel and Roger Clark (Councilman, Winston Salem West Ward) were on hand to discuss the plans for 4870 Robinhood Road. The revised plans show a direct interconnection between Century Oaks at the southeast (Century Oaks Lane) and Castle Drive through to Robinhood Road at the northwest. They collectively acknowledged that additional consideration was needed to address water runoff along the border with Century Oaks and the potential for downstream flooding. While Councilman Clark was generally noncommittal of his position either for or against the project plan, when pressed, he expressed willingness to deny the petition (that is to maintain the status quo of RS-9). This is a welcome admission and while not a guarantee, something to be encouraged by. Please continue to share this petition so Councilman Clark, Todd DeNeui and Stimmel continue to engage with us to develop this land in a way that integrates with rather than compromises our community.
