The intersections at Highway 7, South Lamar, and County Road 401 are very dangerous. Those who travel this area know- especially at night- how hard it is to turn from HWY 7 onto 401 or from HWY 7 onto South Lamar due to visibility. The area is so dark; people often misjudge the turn.
The number of accidents occurring in the area increases due to congestion at 5:00pm, which is quitting time for many jobs. Adding to that is the darkness.
