I am starting a petition to hopefully influence Montgomery County board of education to implement in the dress code, that Montgomery County students in Maryland wear school uniforms to school. I feel that school uniforms is a form of discipline and will improve student behavior, will keep students focused on their education and not their clothes, reduce peer pressure and bullying and would save valuable class time, because they are easier to enforce then standard dress code. I also feel that if students had to wear school uniforms it would be less stressful and more affordable for parents. If students had to wear uniforms to school it would show unity and kids wouldn't feel divided, because they are less fortunate and cant afford the coolest most expensive clothes/designer labels, or be bullied because of their clothes.
