First of all, thank you to all the MCPS community members who have signed, shared and helped us get to nearly 9,000 signatures in less than two days!

I would like to take a moment to share my gratitude for our Student Member of the Board, Hana O’Looney. Hana has informed me that our petition will be brought up in the January 13 Board of Education meeting. This is a huge step for us as a community; I never would have thought this small petition I made out of frustration in our county would have gotten this far.
