MCPHS University PharmD Graduation Requirements - Call to Administration

MCPHS University PharmD Graduation Requirements - Call to Administration
The Issue
Dear students, administration, and faculty at MCPHS University,
The PharmD class of 2025 is calling for your support in addressing the recent change to the MCPHS Doctor of Pharmacy graduation requirements.
On February 26th, an email was sent requiring that students pass at least one of four additional exams prior to graduation or risk our graduation being delayed until September 2025 following additional remediation. Contrary to what has been shared, this was NOT a requirement in the original syllabus for our 0-credit board review course.
As pharmacy students we have spent years studying and passing rigorous exams successfully but our current academic workload does not allow us to adequately prepare for these particular exams. Additionally, the NAPLEX board exam is ONLY for practicing pharmacy within the United States, which unfairly stresses our international student cohort and those who are not planning to actively practice. For those students who are planning on taking the NAPLEX, studying post-graduation (while not balancing a mandatory 40-hour work week during Advanced Practice rotations) is typical.
We ask for your help to convince administrators to allow us to graduate in May 2025, in accordance with our previously laid out requirements.
