Requesting that the McKinney City Council approve changes to the city's health ordinance to allow restaurant owners the option to allow dogs on their dining patios.

Restaurants with patios who are interested in becoming ‘Dog Friendly’ in McKinney could then apply for a variance. The restaurants receiving variance approval would then comply with any established criteria in the new 'Dog Friendly' ordinance, such as posting signs at public and patio entrance(s) notifying the public that it has a 'Dog Friendly' patio.

This would add McKinney to the the ever growing list of local cities who have already approved ordinances for 'Dog Friendly' patios like Frisco, Plano, Dallas and Fort Worth.
