The local shelter has been ran by HART, Humane Animal Resource Team as a no kill shelter. However due to funding and certain staff members the county could be taking over, euthanizing the lives there, and turning to a kill shelter. This is so unnecessary and wrong and we need to demand rights for the innocent lives residing there through no fault of their own. We need affordable spay/neuter programs with mandatory spay/neuter laws preventing overpopulation. Not euthanasia for the carelessness of some people. We wouldn't let down other community members we shouldn't let down the voiceless ones. This shelter deserves the funds to keep running humanely with volunteers and donations 

Spay and neuter laws and resources have been proven to keep shelter population down and thus providing better care for the residents there. It's important as a community to have these resources and education as well as a place they feel comfortable leaving a found stray dog or cat, a kill shelter does not provide that.
