History although complete is dynamic and the re-telling of history paints contemporary socio-political contexts. McGraw Hill Publishing is creating a dangerous environment for people of African descent across several domains as a result of its current World Geography history book in Texas.

This book exists in a time and geographic location that already has a history of extreme racism and insularity. Teaching the children of this age, in this community at this particularly time is dangerous and appears strategic.  The impact is wide and broad as these students become the hiring managers and thought leaders of 2030.  This should frighten everyone and open a dialogue on the privilege associated with the telling of someone else's story.  The professionals who approved this edition should also be called to task for this political violence waged at our children to be consumed by their peers while they watched.  Can you imagine the small injuries each Black child experienced as their history was changed and minimized right before their eyes.

 I am calling for a TOTAL RECALL of these textbooks in the same way Toyota would call one for bad brakes...This is equally as dangerous IF NOT WORSE due to the developmental age of its consumer & the chronosystem in which they consume this "HIStory". Each book sold needs to be RECALLED and REPLACED immediately at the publishers expense, EVEN IF IT MUST COME FROM A DIFFERENT VENDOR. Fixing the next edition and the digital version is not sufficient!
