We ask McDonald's, Burger King and all other fast-food chains to stop giving out plastic toys to children.

They only hold a child's attention for an extremely small period of time, before they get thrown away - which happens with thousands and thousands of toys every day. 604.000 only in the US and only at McDonalds to be more exact (in 2011).

1.2 BILLION plastic toys are given out at McDonald's every year.

To stop the plastic waste epidemic, we must make moves and make everyone involved responsible for their actions in order to create change.

A UK PETITION (just like this one) GOT BURGER KING & MCDONALDS TO CHANGE!

Burger King UK removed all plastic toys from their junior meals and they now collect old toys for inhouse re- and upcycling purposes. This saves 353.000 tons of plastic every year! That's 13 times the statue of liberty in plastic - saved at UK Burger King branches only.

McDonald’s customers can now swap the plastic toys given in children’s Happy Meals for a fruit bag, and from next year, for a book. (It's a start :) )

Let's make this petition just as successful to raise awareness, save plastic & stop it from polluting our environment and piling up on overfilled landfills.
