With KFC, Nandos and Subway providing halal options in the UK it is shocking in this day and age that McDonald's have not taken this step to provide for the Muslim community. Yes, they did have an unsuccesful trial run in Southall but this was only for limited chicken options and was over 10 possibly 15 years ago in not a very business minded location - Bow Flyover or Forest Gate would easily have a higher demand. We should not allow McDonald's to continue using this excuse. McDonald's should at the very least think about allowing halal franchises and have one halal restaurant opened by 2020. If it is possible in other countries then it is possible here in the UK. No more excuses McDonald's!
