Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra all have halal certified McDonalds in areas where there are large muslim populations. McDonalds just opened a new store in Underwood, Queensland. This is an area which has the highest muslim population in Brisbane (confirmed by the latest census results). This petition is to show McDonalds that there is enough demand in the local area to justify the expense of becoming halal certified. As not only local muslims will come but muslims in other suburbs will come as it is the only halal McDonalds in Queensland. Muslims will no longer need to go interstate or overseas to be able to eat McDonalds. McDonalds Underwood will increase there number of customers and profit without loosing any existing customers.
