McDonalds has long advertised their amazing large sweet teas for just 1 dollar. It doesn't take much money to make tea, and those cups certainly can not be expensive. A family of 4 that stops at McDonalds daily and orders 4 large sweet teas has a quite a yearly increase when paying for those 4 teas. Four large teas a day so 4 x .19 = .76 then .76 x 365 = $277.40 a year. Now for most of us that $277.40 is A LOT of money. That is some peoples pay checks for a week. With McDonald's raising prices on everything else (even charging .25 for extra packs of sauce), I strongly believe that McDonald's could still receive plenty of profit in only charging $1 for their large sweet tea, as before. I have heard many people state they will be going to other places, such as Bojangles, from now on to get a large tea since theirs is only $1. McDonalds, myself and others whom have signed this petition would love to see you drop the price of your delicious large sweet teas back down to just $1.
