McDonald's is a classic chain. They have been around for a long time. And a point in history for McDonald's was the Mac-Tonight commericals. They were amazing, well made, and beautiful commercials. But suddenly, they just disappeared, and the mascot barley used anymore. And today, the mascot is known for memes that don't truly represent the character. Well, this should change. Mac-Tonight should come back. And here is a few arguments and debunks about it

Argument 1: But what about the racist memes

Well, they are just that, memes. No matter the meme, the character never changed and is still a McDonald's mascot, and a classic character, no matter how they try to change it. And if McDonald's brings it back and they get shamed for it, their will also be backlash against the people criticising McDonald's because most people realize that memes are just memes, and trying to attack the chain for a meme they had no control over will not be tolerated by a lot of people 

Argument 2: What about the Mack the Knife song if they bring it back, they can't use the song anymore

They don't have to use the song if they make an a new Mac-Tonight. They can a new song, idea, or even try to get permission to re use the song for the ad by working out a deal with the current person involved with the legal rights to the song. The possibilities are endless when it comes to what they can do

Argument 3: But what is the point of bringing it back

The point is that the ad is a classic. Every night, I used to look forward to seeing the ad on tv. It was special, and no other chain has been able to replicate the feeling of wanting to see an ad for me to this day. And the Mascot, which is sometimes called Moon Man, is a classic character who, in my opinion, is better than Ronald and all of the other mascots McDonald's has

Argument 4: How would they bring it back

They have a lot of options. They can try to remake the ad with the props and set etc and new music, they can animate a new Mac-Tonight as a tribute to the original, they can even just include the mascot in a comerical. 

In conclusion, I hope McDonald's understands why it should come back. This ad is an absolute classic, and to see it come back would be a dream come true. Make it Mac-Tonight!
