The boys in blue are going back to Cookeville to defend their state championship title! While this is certainly cause for celebration, McCallie’s student broadcasters are currently unable to provide the call for the game.

After technical difficulties left the broadcast of the TSSAA football semifinal without sound, viewers from the McCallie community pleaded for student coverage of the contest. Although we were unable to commentate then, we hope to appeal to cover the upcoming state championship game.

As of now, McCallie does not have the broadcasting rights for the game, and capacity restrictions have been implemented in the Tennessee Tech press booth because of the pandemic. Still, we, the McCallie student broadcasters, hope to fight for the privilege of calling the state championship however we can.
