On average 31% of people believe school dress codes stifle children's mental freedom and creativity.

Most girls at my middle school get in trouble for dress code(a set of rules, usually written and posted, specifying the required manner of dress at a school) quite often because of trivial things like ripped jeans, too small of a strap, too short of a skirt/dress/shorts.  Yet the boys in our grade wear almost the same type of clothing while never getting questioned or receiving a second glance.  I feel like there should be a change in the dress code and as well as having more head administrators trained to better handle dealing with students, not only girls, with not complying with the dress code.  Similarly, some girls anatomy differ than others. For example, a few girls may have longer arms or legs and when asked to "measure" their shorts their arms may pass the shorts but only because of the length of the arms.  That's why I'm asking for a change in the dress code for the good of our school.
