Good morning intrepid public fiber supporters! I have a few candidate updates.
First, I have received replies from Atul Deshmane and Jon Scanlon confirming that they support a real Dig Once policy. Atul especially has a long history of supporting public broadband, but has run into the many unnecessary roadblocks the establishment, including members of his own party, have put up. He is incredibly competent on the topic.

Some updates for other offices:
Mayoral Race:
Mike McAuley: Is a longtime supporter of Dig Once.

Fleetwood: I have written many times about how much of a disgrace Seth Fleetwood has been in relation to broadband.
Kim Lund: refuses to give us a straight answer on the subject and only gives us answers that are run by her campaign team first which is linked to the establishment. She's another puppet. We've already had 2 of those in the position of mayor, we don't need another one.
Martens: Actively worked against using the city's existing network, even during the pandemic, as most of the City Council did.
McCoy and Johnson have not provided a real response on the topic.
County Executive:
Sidhu: Actively worked against Dig Once and more accurate testing methods like RRUL to protect big telecom.
Buchanan: Refuses to provide a real answer on the subject.
Rule: Refuses to provide an updated, real, answer on the subject.
Other candidates:
In general most candidates are too cowardly to give us real answers. So please, ask them when you have the chance. This is a time for real action, not cowardice and establishment politics. Demand clear answers and positions. Not just on broadband but on all of the topics you care about from your candidates.
