I just wanted to thank Michael Lilliquist for speaking last night to the Whatcom Young Democrats about the importance of Public Broadband. This petition helps reinforce his points. One of the points he mentioned, was that the rest of the city council still needs to be convinced of the importance of public broadband. In fact, giving us an easy way to communicate our support of this idea is why this petition was created. So please help me get the word out. I plan on presenting this to the city council when we get to 1,000 signatures. Thanks again to everyone for their support.
