Prohibited Areas to smoke in the Parklands are NOT being upheld

After sending an email to the Broadwater Parklands Parks and Recreational Services at the City of Gold Coast it has come to our attention that these areas in the park do NOT allow smoking

• The play areas
•  The Rooftop 
• The Northern Pavilion   
•  The Rockpools

And yet smoking still occurs in most of these areas from seeing it and breathing it personally. Which brings us to the conclusion that signs MUST be put up in these areas to ENFORCE these laws while we try and make the whole park smoke free. There is security in the park at all times and they should be monitoring this situation. Remember, even if it’s not directly IN the specified areas above, it’s still happening AROUND them.
