Today our city leaders announced a stimulus program for the City of Portland that includes direct cash assistance up to $500 for rent, food, medication, and more.

This is only a drop in the bucket compared to the actual need in our city. It is not enough money, and payments are limited to only 2,000 households at most.

That's why we're demanding that our city council immediately pass a stimulus bill for direct cash assistance of $1,000 for all Portland residents who are currently unemployed or who make less than $75k per year.
