On August 11th, we asked Portlanders how they felt about the fact that over half the arrests in the city were of people experiencing homelessness. Here's what they told us.

The recent decision by the 9th Circuit Court in Boise prohibiting the city from arresting people sleeping on the streets suggests that Portland's sweeps and harassment of people living on the streets is not only "cruel and unusual" (the language of the 9th Circuit) but is also therefore unconstitutional.
