With less people commuting to work, school and other events over the coming weeks, what if we encourage more neighborhood level open streets allowing for passive, outdoor activities while still enabling safe social distancing.

During our time of social isolation because of COVID-19 our community still needs physical activity and fresh air.  The parts of our city that have sidewalks for walking or running but do not provide the recommended 6 feet of space to give each other when passing. Our Portland Greenways should be car free while we are in a State of Emergency to allow for open space for pedestrians.
