Austin City Council will vote on an ordinance January 28, 2016 that will ban all Type 2 short-term rentals (STR) or guest homes that are rented for 30 days or less.

This is bad public policy.  It is unenforceable, will cost the City money and drives a service that law-abiding adults desire underground.

If you've ever rented a home for a family getaway, a remodel, when you've bought or sold a home, a corporate retreat or a girls' weekend, please tell Council you support having this option and the responsible owners in Austin who do the right thing.
