The people of Scarborough want the balloons back at the Scarborough Town Centre!

As a kid, I always wanted to go to Disneyland but that wasn't a reality for my family. We couldn't afford tickets to Wonderland, not even the CN Tower. Instead, we would go see the balloons at the Scarborough Town Centre and that would put a big smile on everyone's face. It wasn't Disneyland, but that was okay. This was home and the balloons were there for my family and thousands of other families in Scarborough. 

Every year that passes new construction wipes out another piece of our childhood. Everywhere you look things are disappearing. Although we understand that construction is inevitable it's sad to see so many places vanish. Places we grew up in, played in and lived in... are all GONE. 

The balloons flying at the Scarborough Town Centre would bring back some great childhood memories of growing up in Scarborough and more importantly, we would be able to pass that experience onto future generations. My parents now in their 60s would love it. Those kids that are now in their 20s, 30s and 40s would love it and of course, today's kids would love it.

Imagine how cool it would be to bring the iconic balloons back? Just imagine the amount of people that would return back to STC just for the balloons! Think about all the instagram selfies #stcballoons

Please consider bringing back just this ONE thing for us. It would bring a lot of joy and happiness to the people who grew up here in the 80s, 90s, 2000s and hopefully we see them back for 20s, 30s and beyond.
