Every year I see thousands of washer fluid jugs thrown away at gas stations. Garbage cans over filling. 500 tons of plastic packaging for windshield washer fluid would be produced a year that goes directly into our land fills and oceans as they can not be recycled. Canada alone has 35 million registered vehicles, if each one bought at least 2 jugs a year that is 70 million jugs in just one year. There are ready alternatives out there that allow customer to dispense fluid directly into their car reservoir but these companies (EcoTankcanada.com) need support to break the tradition of the cheap plastic jugs. Canada has incentives in place for energy saving products like windows, furnaces. Why not help these large companies make the change to implement these ecofriendly washer fluid refilling systems. This will also help the small family run stations make the change as well.

This is just one product but everyone in the world uses washer fluid. Eventually as these systems become the industry norm plastic cannisters used for washer fluid would be obsolete.
