On June 28th, 2016, a man named Barry Prak was wrongfully murdered by police officers in an alley in Long Beach, CA. The location was on 15th street between Temple and Orizaba. As friends and family gathered at the scene the next day to say their good byes and pay respects, all we can do is ask, "Why did they kill him?" The news announced that he was armed, but he was not. They locked down Lee Elementary school because supposedly Prak had a bomb, but there was no trace of it. The children were safe and unharmed. Police lied and said Prak shot their dog Credo but Later switched up the story and said it was a " friendly fire". No, LBPD shot and killed their own K-9 the same time they killed my beloved brother, Barry Prak. Police used lies and exaggeration to portray my brother as a criminal to favor Credo's life over Barry's . There were also allegations of Prak to have been wielding a knife. If there was one then why didn't they recover it at the scene? We asked so many questions and we waited. It seems that our questions and concerns have fallen on deaf ears. We want to petition Jackie Lacey to investigate the homicide of Barry Prak now before the 1 year later police report by LBPD. We want the District Attorney Response team to investigate now before the evidence and case goes cold. Please sign this petition against police brutality. We want justice for Barry Prak!
