Stop the City of South Bend's cruel and disrespectful treatment of our homeless citizens

Tell Mayor Pete Buttigieg and his administration that the people who are homeless in this city need to be recognized as valuable human beings worthy of our compassion and respect. They are not a nuisance or an embarrassment to be hidden away. While administrators may view the homeless as a shameful reflection on our city, we believe the inhumane treatment of our marginalized and vulnerable citizens to be the real shame.
City officials confiscated and destroyed pallets the homeless use to keep their beds dry and are considering using nuisance laws to prohibit people from living under the Main Street viaduct.
Please sign this petition and come to the South Bend Common Council meeting, located at 227 West Jefferson Blvd, on Monday, November 13, at 7:00pm. There you will have the opportunity to speak on behalf of our homeless citizens.
