Save AWLQ Ipswich Rehoming Centre

The issue

For the past five years, the Animal Welfare League of Queensland's Ipswich team have devoted their time and effort to contribute positive outcomes for the welfare of all companion animals in the Ipswich Community. The RSPCA QLD has now been awarded the contract for the Ipswich Pound. This means, that after 5 years in their current contract, AWLQ must vacate by the end of September.

Since the media release on Facebook that was posted by the Animal Welfare League of QLD, there has been a huge wave of support from the general public who are demanding for the AWLQ to be able to continue their invaluable work in Ipswich.

We are asking Ipswich City Council to reconsider its decision.

The animals and citizens of Ipswich deserve to have a first class animal management facility that provides the best outcomes for adoptable animals.
