Zebra Crossing

Hello and thanks to all those folk who continue to support this Petition. A Zebra crossing has recently been constructed with dropped curbs on Poseidonos Ave. Whilst this is a step in the right direction, unfortunately it as been placed outside of Tea for Two cafe. Not only has this badly planned Zebra Crossing been built on the corner of a busy main road, but also next to a Taxi Rank so the view of drivers approaching the crossing is blocked by both Taxis, Mini Vans and delivery Vans who use this rank (see picture). It remains imperative that both the Mayor and the Municipality continue to focus on speed restrictions as detailed in this petition and look at the feasibility of adding more properly constructed crossings as detailed in this petition and in the process stop cars accessing public walkways that have specifically been built as beach walkways for pedestrians and not roads. This Petition will shortly be delivered to the Mayors Office for his deliberation. However, this petition will now remain open until further notice for future petitioners and until physical pro-active action is taken by the authorities in resolving this matter.
