The 'No Dogs Allowed' signs posted in White Plains parks do not accurately reflect the needs and preferences of White Plains residents who are pet parents.

The law should state that people who keep their dogs on a leash, and who pick up after their dogs are allowed to walk their dogs in city parks.

The signs at park entrances should be revised to say something like: 'No dogs without leashes' and 'Pet waste must be picked up and disposed of properly'
