On Wednesday October 8th New Bedford police were called by a person who reported a man beating his dog with two pipes, which is on video posted on Facebook, police took almost three hours to respond and only did so after a brave woman blocked his driveway with her car, he called the police and they finally responded to a blocked driveway but were negligent in their response to a dog being beaten with a pipe, after arresting the man the NBPD issued a statement blaming the neighbor who took the video of the beating. The animal control officer has a grudge against a wonderful rescue in our are who exposed his shady and illegal dealings and I am sure this was a non problem according to the animal control officer. Also the mays office has been silent on this and we no longer have confidence in the police chief or ACO to do their job properly
