We still have a high number of overdose and overdose deaths here in Martinsburg and Berkeley County, WV. This is preventable! Our numbers here both overdose and overdose death continue to rise. Drug use and the disorders that go along with drug use continue to rise and are going untreated. Our town leaders and the media need to STOP using certain words and catch phrases when referring to the problem here. One is the word, RUMOR and the catch phrase, DISPELLING RUMOR when referring to our local heroin epidemic. There is no place in the discussion about heroin, addiction and our local heroin epidemic for these words and catch phrases. The numbers and the data speak volumes. It is statistical information!
