The Issue

I am currently travelling South Korea and have been impressed by the people's compassion and the country's natural beauty. That was until I reached Daegu and visited their park with free zoo.

Watching an elephant swing it's trunk delusionally and bang against the walls, seeing bears and tigers whimper and chimpanzees staring at a tree behind bars should not be allowed. This is archaic and regressive.

This zoo is free to the public and there is no attempt at conservation. The enclosures are very small and the animals are there for entertainment.

It is not an attraction to the city seeing rare animals turning mad and frustrated. If the mayor enthuses it is educational then we will fight to put forward a curriculum to teach children about animal biology and morality.

On top of this, the city still sells dog meat. Even electrocuting the dogs or dropping live dogs into boiling water. https://t.co/SSf68Znqfm

Please, please sign this petition so it can gain awareness and reach the Mayor of the city. There are no current campaigns to fight this in Daegu so please support or this behaviour will continue.
