This petition is to stop the removal of the Basketball Courts at Cypress Park in Coral Springs, Florida. The basketball courts provide exercise and entertainment to the youth and adults in the Coral Springs area. The diversity of the people that use the facility is immense and it is very vital to the fabric of the community especially in the given climate of uniformity. Because of this sport, many people that would otherwise not have any interaction, create bonds that last a lifetime. Removing the basketball courts in an act of gentrification. On the weekends for decades, people have met there (young and old) for the sport and fellowship.
