Update the 18th century/third world level North Bergen animal control practices by matching the current practices from Secaucus and NYC, and by issuing a new animal control RFP with Union City with the requirements to correct those problems.
The Issue
A UCFCC report (available at www.ucnjfcc.org) demostrated that the animal control practices of North Bergen are at the 18th century/third world level, as compared to Secaucus and NYC. North Bergen should join Union City in issuing a new request for proposals (RFP) correcting its many animal control problems and bringing its animal control practices into the 21st century, similar to Secaucus and NYC (local shelter, TNR program, non profit organization raising funds for its shelter, goals and key performance indicators, 24/7 open records, assistance to low income residents with pet food, vet treatment, and traps/crates/pets transportation, winter shelters, etc; see report). See the bottom page of the UCFCC web site (www.ucnjfcc.org) for the one page requirements of the new RFP to update all the 18th century/third world level animal control practices in North Bergen. The thousands of homeless and voiceless cats of North Bergen deserve far more better.
