Dallas says NO to Trump

We, the citizens of Dallas, Texas, are calling on Mayor Mike Rawlings to take a page from the book of Greg Stanton, mayor of Phoenix, Arizona, and release a statement urging Trump to reconsider coming to Dallas.
In wake of the events of Charlottesville, we do not need anymore of his divisive and explosive rhetoric, which only serves to further embolden and empower the racist movement within this country. We fear that by allowing Trump to hold any sort of fundraiser or rally within our city, that it will bring trouble to our streets in the form of gun-toting, confederate-flag waving men and women who wish nothing more than to see African-Americans and other people of color removed from this country.
The community of Dallas is committed to diversity, inclusiveness, and respect, not white-supremacy, violence, and bigotry. We refuse to see our city succumb to the atrocities that took place last weekend in Charlottesville, and we refuse to see anyone else lose their lives in such a meaningless display of evil and racism.
