We would like to thank Mayor Hancock and Denver Parks and Rec for encouraging outdoor activity and social distancing in our parks. By closing park roads to traffic, trail crowds have diminished and residents have more space for walking, running and biking. These changes have improved the park experience for all users by reducing noise and pollution, eliminating conflicts with cars and encouraging walking and biking in our neighborhoods. The undersigned request that the city maintain the road closures in Cheesman Park, City Park and Sloan's Lake after the COVID19 pandemic is behind us so that residents can continue to enjoy these new car free spaces.
