It was appalling to read that a small town in Iowa was banning Pit Bulls but not only was Council Bluffs banning them they were putting them down robbing them from a happy life, a warm home, and a kind family. If you search for the most violent breed of dog Pit Bulls aren’t even in the top 10. Some were trained wrong or not cared for well in the past but all those dogs wanted were love and someone to give love too. If Council Bluffs IA, does not want the breed in there town a more humane idea would be to transfer the animals to another shelter in Iowa or find homes for the dogs in other towns. As a Pit Bull owner, my dog is the sweetest dog I’ve had, he is cuddly, he loves people, he loves other animals, when a family member or I are upset he runs to our side. Pit bulls are misunderstood and if we don’t put down guilty criminals why should we put down innocent dogs?
