Keep Le Marais Bakery in the Marina
Keep Le Marais Bakery in the Marina
We hope you will join us in petitioning to keep Le Marais Bakery in the Marina. Our local bakery keeps us connected to one another and is an essential business to our community. This local, family-owned business, serves some of the best food San Francisco has to offer, and their location at 2066 Chestnut Street has been the cornerstone business of our Marina neighborhood for nearly a decade. It is more than just another business, it is where we come together to connect through our morning rush, weekend gatherings, during holidays and celebrations.
Le Marais' family of baristas and owner Patrick know many of us by name. Many of us longtime residents watched as Patrick worked tirelessly to transform what was once a rundown Jamba Juice, an eyesore on our street, into a beautiful single unit building that has become a gem on Chestnut. Many years ago, when the power went out in the Marina, Le Marais Bakery stayed open to serve us, hand grinding coffee and boiling water on their stoves. Through the pandemic, they were a bright spot on a street filled with temporary closures. Patrick is always there every day greeting customers, bringing fresh food from
the market.
This family does not deserve to lose everything they have invested into this building and our neighborhood. Our Marina neighborhood needs
to keep long standing local businesses on Chestnut to maintain the character of our community, to continue to be a draw to locals and visitors alike. Please support our petition to keep Marais in the Marina.
