Mayor Lee Brand, STOP PUNISHING the HOMELESS bc SHELTERS are full! ALLOW them to haveTENTS, their HOMES. until further provisions are made!! This is a violation of not only their 4th and 8th amendment rights but possibly the 11th amendment of the United States Constitution. The Supreme Law of the Land! What you are doing is deplorable and inhumane. Especially, since you experienced the "homeless issue" first hand when your very own daughter was on the streets homeless for over 2 years using dope!! Where is your compassion? You take away their homes, their tents, and tarps, and remove all of their meager possessions by throwing it all into the garbage truck without pause. However, that isn't hateful enough so you leave the 2,200 unsheltered homeless on the streets with out making further provisions for their shelter, safety, health or anything else for that matter. Who cares right? I mean they are only homeless. Must be proud now that you swept the whole city of its filth, right? The homeless are not the problem....they are the RESULT of the problem. Allow the 2,200 unsheltered homeless to keep their tents and tarps until the city can provide other provisions like you should have done. What you did really puts a black eye on Fresno's city officials but mainly on you Mayor Lee Brand. They are human beings just like you and me!!
